Great food is one of life's special pleasures, and Chef Marty Rackley takes pride in offering
Cascade residents a terrific variety of healthy, hearty meals.
From dinner favorites to traditional holiday fare, residents can enjoy three meals a day in the Plaza's
formal dining room or in the comfort of their own apartment.
Our registered dietician works closely with residents, management, and the
kitchen staff to ensure that every meal is balanced and healthy, and that individual dietary needs are met.
Food and fun
Ice cream socials, oven-fresh cookies, espresso mornings and afternoon teathese are some of
special activities enjoyed throughout the week. Wake up to coffee and doughnuts on Saturday mornings,
test your knowledge playing Trivia-and-Lemonade every Monday afternoon, and relax after a busy week with
Popcorn Theater on Friday night.
And of course, there are plenty of other events throughout the year to spice up the calendar,
like the annual Holiday Dessert Buffet with candlelight entertainment, the Sweetheart Banquet, Easter Brunch,
and even a luau with Hawaiian dancers!
Residents' kitchen
You can also take advantage of our residents' kitchen to cook up your own favorites.
Keep your refrigerator stocked by catching the Plaza Shuttle as it heads out to a different area grocer
every Tuesday. Typical destinations include Safeway, Larry's Market, Fred Meyer, and QFC.
Eating out
Redmond offers an outstanding choice of restaurants to suit every palate, and for those who like to go
out with friends, the Plaza organizes lunch and dinner excursions throughout the year. Recent trips include the
Spaghetti Factory, the Seattle Center, Redmond Pancake House, Ivar's, McDonald's, Cucina, Cucina, and Krispy Kreme.
